A record 840 pediatric surgery professionals attended APSA 2015, April 30 - May 3, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The meeting started strong with the first Education Day session from the APSA Trauma Committee and finished with Dr. Mac Harmon's Case Debates and Controversies. Workforce issues were an overarching theme, culminating in a Town Hall Meeting to discuss the future of pediatric surgery.

New in 2015.
Learning Center – in lieu of hands-on simulation courses, the Learning Center let you talk to experts and try your hand at minimally invasive techniques for pediatric surgery. Special presentations took place during the meeting breaks.
Workforce Abstracts – A special session devoted to the workforce issues that are a hot topic in pediatric surgery
Town Hall Meeting – An opportunity to voice your opinions on the direction and future of your profession
Residents Meeting – An opportunity for residents and student who have not yet started in pediatric surgical fellowships to network and gain expert advice on the application process what it's like working in various types of practice
