Pediatric Case Debates and Controversies. This session included the presentation of a number of pediatric general surgery cases that have some degree of controversy in their evaluation and management. The audience was able to participate in the session by answering questions embedded throughout the case presentations via an interactive audience response system (ARS) that provided instant group feedback. In addition, the audience had the opportunity to openly discuss the cases.
Annual Charity Fundraiser. A record $1,696 was raised through the dedicated determination of this year’s companion group. The donation will allow a family to stay more than 65 nights at one of the three Ronald McDonald Houses owned by Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Antonio, this year’s charity beneficiary.
