Call for Nominations for the APSA Foundation!
The APSA Foundation is accepting nominations for the position of Chair and two Directors-at-Large to join the current board of directors. After eight years of service to the Foundation, I will be stepping down as I ‘term out’ and retire from practice.
The APSA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) private organization, created for scientific, educational and charitable purposes in support of the American Pediatric Surgical Association. Since its creation in March 1993, the Foundation has been a source of essential funds to promote education and biomedical research in pediatric surgery, and global access to excellent pediatric surgical care.
To be eligible for Chair, the candidate
- Must be a regular or senior APSA member in good standing
- Must be a significant contributor to the APSA Foundation
- Must have provided leadership service to APSA and the specialty
- May have provided leadership service to the Foundation
- Need not currently be on the APSA Foundation board
- Foundation philanthropy and board experience highly desirable
Suitable candidates for the Director-at-Large will be regular or senior members in good standing, with philanthropic experience and/or an interest in working on issues of import to the Foundation. Additional information regarding requirements can be found on the Board of Directors Job Description.
