APSA's New Logo We are excited to share APSA’s new logo in tandem with our 50th Anniversary Meeting. Like our plans for the event, the new logo honors the past while welcoming the future. The focus of the logo remains the same – the relationship of the surgeon and child. While clearly reflecting the original logo, the new design is more modern and colorful, is gender neutral and will be easier to use in this digital age. We’ve also added a tagline – “saving lifetimes” – two small words that highlight the immense impact of our profession. It was adapted from a quote by Dr. H. William Clatworthy, Jr., APSA’s third president, 1972-1973. APSA is grateful to each of you who reached out to provide input, who spoke up at the Town Hall in Palm Desert, and especially to those who submitted creative and inspiring logo designs: Alejandra Casar Berazaluce Corey Criss Michael Fuenfer Ken Gow R. Ellen Jones Francois Luks Mark Mazziotti Kasper Wang You’ve Got Flair We also want to thank Past-President Henri Ford, the APSA Board of Governors and the APSA staff for their work in bringing the choices and options for a new logo to an outstanding result. Over the next several months you’ll start to see the new logo appearing on social media and Association emails. APSA will rebrand all of its communications including digital content, reports, surveys and signage for events.
